You might recognize these two from their fall session last year—and we’re so excited to have them back on the blog! I’ll never pass up the chance to photograph my dear friend Kristen and her sweet little girl. Kristen is a fellow photographer here in the Twin Cities, and this time, we decided to switch things up and spend the morning capturing photos of each other with our littles. It was such a special treat!

While my little guy wasn’t exactly feeling camera time (typical toddler!), Kristen somehow still managed to snap the most beautiful photos of me and my boy. She always works her magic! Meanwhile, her girl was a total rockstar. Her curious little blue eyes kept following me and my camera—like she was trying to figure out exactly what I was up to. And that sweet smile? Melted me completely.

Sessions like this one are so close to my heart. These lifestyle motherhood sessions are all about connection—snuggles, giggles, and those fleeting in-between moments that tell the story of motherhood so beautifully. Moms don’t always get in the frame (we know how it goes!), so Kristen and I promised to make a point of doing that for each other. And I’m so glad we did.
