As a Minneapolis Newborn Photographer, my approach to newborn portraits is to capture the sweet details and moments of life with your baby through natural newborn photos. I photograph in a way that will help you remember things like his warm curly body, shoulder peach fuzz, her perfect little hair swirl, his tiny toes and just how small she was in your hands. The essential portrait collection for moms who never want to forget their baby’s first year.
Did you know that you only get one year in the baby stage? How crazy it that? Your baby will change within a blink of an eye. All the cliches are true—you won’t believe how fast it goes. And that’s exactly why I created a portrait experience for busy moms who never want to regret not having more photos of their baby.
I know, because I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced it twice. Documenting that first year of their lives was truly the best decision I ever made.
As part of the first year collective, I will document your baby at every major milestone, capturing all those precious changes as your baby grows.
- Never have to worry about forgetting to book a session. I will be there to remind you it’s time to find a date!

Why book a collective?
All the new baby goodness fades away so quickly. The flaky skin, the back rolls, the way their tiny fingers wrap around yours. I will capture all the details.
Also known as our "sitter session," these sessions focus on all the sweet little baby habits—sitting, tummy time, grabbing their tones and that sweet, gummy smile they love to show their mom and dad!
All of a sudden your baby is a babbling, almost toddler! Celebrate with classic portraits that showcase the loving connection you have as a family.
Continue documenting your family annually after your baby’s first year is complete to celebrate the family you’ve created.

After we’ve gotten to know each other and crafted the perfect collection together, I will send you a contract via HoneyBook. All you have to do is sign your contract and pay the retainer fee to make the date yours!
It’s official! Now the real fun begins! Once you’re booked, you’ll receive a super helpful guide that includes important details + helpful tips for your session. Together we will select the perfect location for your session—whether it be at your home, a beautiful outdoor location, or in studio. I can also offer guidance through wardrobe selection!
Your day is here!! All you have to do is show up and have fun! We will meet at your session location and during our time together I will provide simple posing directions in a way that will bring out genuine emotion in your family’s interaction.
Don’t worry—I fully expect your kids to act like kids! We’re parents too and know that little ones get restless! I work with their energy to capture photos that are joyful and true to this season of childhood. Your only job is to have fun with your family! You better believe we will say goodbye with big hugs!
After your session, you’ll receive an online gallery of your images within 3 weeks. Look through your gallery together as a family and relive your session together through your images! From there, you can easily download, share and print your photos.
We strongly believe in printed portraits. Your images are part of your legacy and deserve a tangible place in your home. You will have the option to order beautifully printed artwork through your gallery including prints, framed artwork, photo books and more, and your order will be delivered directly to your doorstep.

When should I book my newborn pictures?
It’s never too early to reach out! Most families contact me in the early part of the 2nd trimester and also book their newborn session at the same time to ensure a spot on my calendar. I do my best to work in last minute requests.
When do newborn sessions take place?
Most sessions are photographed within the first 3 weeks of your baby’s arrival. Once you let me know the baby has arrived, we will secure your session date on the calendar.
Where do Newborn sessions take place?
Newborn sessions are lifestyle-based and typically occur in client's homes. If you’d prefer, I have a few studios around the Twin Cities I can share with you for an additional rental fee. A studio is a great option if you’re concerned about the light in your home or prefer not to worry about picking up for photos while you are deep in the newborn bubble!

How long are minneapolis newborn photo sessions?
We will spend up to 90 minutes together for your newborn sessions. These are typically a little longer so that you and baby can take little breaks for feedings, snuggles and diaper changes.
What should my baby wear?
I like to stick with neutral colored wraps and a simple white onesie. I keep these on hand along with dainty bows for girls so that’s one less thing for you to think about! You are also welcome to set aside a few outfits you’d like to incorporate. Neutrals are always best, to complement baby's skin tone and allow the focus to be on their features and your connection.
What should we wear to our newborn session?
I love simple and neutral colors and tones, textures such as knits and linen always look great too. Neutrals including whites, creams, greys and blushes will complement baby’s skin and make for a classic, timeless look. Small patterns for girls or moms also look beautiful in photos. Dresses or loose tops are often the most comfortable for new moms in those first weeks following birth.
