You might recognize his parents, Mallorie + Jesse, from their wedding photos we featured in our Best of Weddings roundup. We absolutely adore these two, and we were beyond thrilled when they asked us to capture their next big milestone—welcoming their beautiful baby boy, Mason!

Mason’s story is extra special. He was born premature while his parents were on a trip to Florida, and after spending a few weeks in the NICU, he was finally able to come home at 4 weeks old. Once he was home and settled, we met up for his newborn photography session in the Twin Cities, and oh my goodness—he melted our hearts.

He was so tiny and snuggly—he slept peacefully through the entire session and gave us all the sweet baby cuddles. One of our favorite moments? Capturing Mallorie and Jesse’s wedding rings on his teeny, tiny toes. It was the perfect reminder of how small and precious he is, and how far this beautiful family has come together.
