This styled shoot holds a very special place in our hearts. If you’ve been following along, you may remember when we shared with you that for a very long time, we had been living in our own little world — loving on and serving our clients with our whole hearts but we didn’t spend any time making vendor relationships a priority. We didn’t have many friends in the wedding industry and we had no idea how much we needed it. This year, all of that changed. All it took was the guts to put ourselves out there. To reach out with a simple email, introducing ourselves and inviting someone to a cup of coffee. Because we let our guard down and opened ourselves up to new relationships, we were able to not only participate in our very first styled shoot, but we have made some great friends along the way!
As soon as these images hit our cameras we wanted to share them with everyone we knew. Literally. But we had to wait until they were featured on Ruffled Blog first! Is this real life!? We are still in shock that our very first inspiration shoot is featured!! Someone pinch us!
Our favorite new venue in Minneapolis – The Machine Shop — hosted us for this shoot! At the time, the Machine Shop was still under construction but you would never know it from the photos! Machine Shop officially opened this summer and WOW. This space has totally exceeded our expectations; every pretty little detail.
Designed by Belle Noelle Events and styled by Maven, they created a look that is a combination of Parisian and Boho with foliage filled floral. The light blue with pops of purple tones added a lot of depth to the color palette of this theme and was carried out in the tablescape, the bouquet and even in the blue engagement ring from JB Hudson. The blue dipped table runner was such a cool and unique accent piece to the table. Apres Party and Tent Rental provided the beautiful table, chairs as well as a lot of the other pieces you will see among the tablescape.
Anne and Carmen from The White Room picked out such a stunning combination for the bridal look — the Macdowell top by Houghton and Embellished Ball Skirt from Caroline Hayden looked absolutely amazing on our beautiful model and brought a little modern style to the shoot. Julie Rose did an amazing job on the bride’s hair and Lady Vamp Artistry completed the look with gorgeous makeup. Goldfine Jewelry provided such unique pieces of bridal jewelry that pulled the whole look together seamlessly. The Copper Hen baked the most delicious mini donut cupcakes and Hooked Calligraphy made adorable paper cones to display them in. It was REALLY hard not to eat them all as soon as they arrived!
It is important to us that the couple we photograph be a real life married couple! The reason we love what we do is because we get to capture the true, genuine emotions of couples in love and that believe that is an important element to bring into styled shoots. We also want to be able to gift them with a set of portraits as a thank you! We were absolutely thrilled to photograph Macey and Jake! Their wedding was less than six months before this shoot and it was so much fun capturing their newlywed giddiness! We just adore these two! Thank you for being so patient, kind and joyful! We love you both and are so happy that we found each other!
THANK YOU to our amazing team of vendors! Through our collaboration we created something absolutely amazing! We are so thankful to have these newfound friends and can’t wait to continue working together in the future!!
