We are so excited to share Madelinn and Kevin’s Crystal Lake Golf Club winter wedding with you today! And this one is extra special, friends. Shooting this wedding was like shooting our sister’s wedding and spending the day with our extended family — because in a sense, we were.
Ashley has known the bride’s family since she was 8 years old, when she was placed in the same first grade class as Madelinn’s older sister Lindsey. She spent countless nights at their house “trying” to sleepover (we say trying because, homesick). The bride’s two oldest sisters used to babysit Ashley and her real life sister. And the best part is, Ashley remembers when Madelinn was born. The Tipler family has always been a part of Ashley’s life so when we got married it only made sense that they become apart of Troy’s life too — lots of super fun nights in the books with Lindsey and her adorable little family with so many more to come!
Madelinn and Kevin met when they were just 17 and 19 years old. Greg, a close friend of the groom’s and now the best man at his wedding, worked with Madelinn at a local bagel shop. Little did Greg know Kevin wasn’t coming to visit him, but rather to visit the cute girl he worked with. That summer they ran into each other at a bonfire, which turned into a beach date the next day — and they have been inseparable ever since. We can totally see why. The way they make each other laugh. The way he brushes her hair across her cheek. Their love for each other is infectious.
Honored doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about capturing this wedding. We are so incredibly thankful for you two and for your families. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for choosing us to capture your day. We can’t believe that we photographed your senior pictures when you were in high school (seems like just yesterday) and today you became an absolutely stunning bride (you looked pretty good too, Kev). We love you both so much. Congratulations!!
