The day started out cold. So cold that Ashley had to have hand warmers in her pockets during the detail photos we took outside St. Thomas Becket before the wedding party arrived. But with detail shots like these we will shoot outside with hand warmers all day! The lighting was perfect and as the morning went on the sun came out to warm us.

Erin and Marc’s story goes back a ways. They have been friends since middle school, back when life was carefree and the biggest worry was what to wear to school the next day. It wasn’t until after their senior prom that they decided they should be together. After graduation from Apple Valley High School, both Erin and Marc chose to attend Drake University. Some may call it coincidence; we call it fate. And let’s just say the rest is history.

The Women’s Club of Minneapolis was a beautiful location for Erin and Marc’s reception. The historic clubhouse was built in 1928 and has many different intimate spaces, (including a library, grand ballroom and even a rooftop terrace!) to entertain guests. There is so much character and charm in every nook and cranny. From the speeches on the grand staircase to the new lounge bar to the live band (which the bride pointed out was the highlight of the evening), The Women’s Club of Minneapolis definitely delivered the perfect reception.
