Romantic 514 Studios Wedding

Before we go any further we need to warn you about something. What you are about to witness is extreme oversharing. We are so in love with this couple and with their photos it was just too difficult to narrow it down! There are SO many new all-time favorites from Avery and Logan’s wedding we can barely contain our excitement!! Sorry not sorry!

We met Avery and Logan last year not long after our little Logan was born. Since they have the same name and all, it was only appropriate that the two Logans met and we were so thankful they were nice enough to invite him along! Right away we had such a great connection with these two—one where we of course talked about photography, but the conversation took many turns into more personal things and we sat together for a couple hours getting to know each other. Avery and Logan are so much fun to be around! They are such sweet, silly, genuine people who truly love to have fun and we quickly discovered that we have many things in common! Over the next year we got to know each other a little better— from hanging out at their engagement session in downtown Minneapolis to playing cards at 612 Brew, to various coffee dates (in case you missed it, we LOVE coffee) and the best part is that each time we had so much fun together that it was almost hard to stay on task—that’s the thing with friends. Catching up on life since you last saw one another is so much fun! And this was a wedding we were particularly excited for!!

There were so many unique, personal details to this wedding that we just loved. The bride made all the bouquets with the help of some of her ladies with fresh flowers from the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market. Instead of pocket squares, each guy wore a different colored paper crane in their pocket, folded by the groom. Logan also folded 1,000 of them to hang as a backdrop for the ceremony at 514 Studios! In the words of the groom— “Senbazuru, is a group of 1,000 paper cranes held together by strings. The Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds 1,000 paper cranes will be granted a wish by a crane. I gave my wish to Avery because mine already came true.”

Avery and Logan love to play games, so each table was set with a different board game as the centerpiece and their guest book was Jenga pieces. During cocktail hour guests were invited to play a variety of outdoor games including Hammer-Schlagen, Cornhole and giant Connect Four. The toppers on their cake from The Copper Hen were gold T-Rex dressed as a bride and groom! And despite the rain in the morning, it turned out to be the most perfect day! We were able to capture all their portraits outside and the sun even poked out for a little while!

Thank you both for being so amazing! Thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding day, for welcoming us into your bridal party and for going above and beyond to make us feel included and special on a day that was all about you! We are so grateful! We are so excited for what the future holds for you and for our friendship!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bardell! You two are so loved!
