Happy Wedding Wednesday friends! We are so incredibly excited to share Dana & Jeremy’s red and silver Christmas themed wedding at Olympic Hills Golf Club. We totally realize that it’s no longer Christmas, but with all the snow coming down today we couldn’t help but feel a little in the holiday spirit!
You might remember Dana & Jeremy from their sweet daughter Bryn’s newborn session or from maybe from her sister Gina’s wedding. These girls (and their hubbies!) have become like family to us and we would be lying if we said we were slightly sad that there are no more Reamsnyder girls left to get married! Lucky for us, there will be plenty of newborn and family sessions to give us our fill of this wonderful, loving family. They truly make us feel like we belong every time we see them.
On our way to the getting ready location, we looked at our surroundings and were just a little disappointed. Most of the snow on the ground had melted so everything was, well, brown. There was snow in the forecast but what were the chances that we would get lucky enough for it to snow during portraits? Turns out, pretty good!! Big, fluffy snowflakes started to fall just as the bride finished getting into her dress and continued for the rest of the afternoon. That combined with all the pouf and sparkle of Dana’s bridal gown from Posh Bridal Couture made this day an absolute fairytale! There may have been some excited shrieks during couple portraits (ok, those were from Ashley). Just wait until you see these!!!
Although their wedding wasn’t actually on Christmas, we absolutely loved all the Christmas-y details that the bride incorporated into the day, with the holly red bridesmaid dresses (and her stunning lipstick!), sprigs of pine and berries on the bridesmaid gifts, snowflakes and red throughout the invitation suite. Absolutely magical.
Back in 1957, the bride’s Great-Grandmother started the tradition of putting a buffalo nickel in her shoe to bring good luck to the bride. Since then, Dana’s mother and both older sisters have carried on this tradition. We were there for Gina’s turn and it was so special to be able to photograph this priceless momento on Dana’s wedding day.
Dana & Jeremy, we cannot say enough good things about you! You have welcomed us into your home to capture the first photos of your beautiful daughter, for your engagement session and to enjoy meals together. You are so supportive of us as people but also of our business. We truly feel at home when we are with not only the three of you, but when we are with the rest of our family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for trusting us and giving us the honor of being your photographers! We love you guys and are so excited for everything to come! Congratulations!!
